About Sandra Kravitz
Sandra was educated as a botanist at London University England , apprenticed to a Yemenite silversmith in Israel and then studied enameling in the USA .
As well as her studio art she is a leading designer for RiteLite, the largest Judaica manufacturer in the USA . She has taught enameling techniques, jewelry design and held workshops at the Craft Student League in Manhattan also in Great Neck and Roslyn , New York . Currently she teaches a weekly class in Manhattan. From 1999 until 2012 she served as President of the Enamel Guild North/East USA of which she was one of the founding board members.
About Alan Kravitz
Alan has been a board member of the Enamel Guild North/East USA since 1997. He is an engineer by profession, and prior to obtaining his engineering degree was trained in England as a toolmaker. He worked as a master toolmaker at Gebruder Sulzer in Switzerland. In Israel he had a very early morning second job as a bench jeweler for the well known art jeweler “Bensi” Ben Zion Bazallel. He enjoys designing and making everything from brooches, bracelets, pendants, earrings and mobiles to forging his own tools, building dry-stone walls, designing and constructing buildings.
